Confirmed tornado near Avon, WI.

We'll see but I think that was a suspect report. It was initially issued based on a public report on the Illinois side, then MKX changed their polygon to TORR based on that but about 20 minutes after the fact, and the storm's radar signature collapsed to nothing almost immediately after.

Maybe I'm just sore since I didn't chase, but if I had that would have been the area I'd have targeted seeing as MN was out of range. Some HRRR runs painted those cells along the state line in Green/Rock counties, but couldn't quite do so consistently and generally showed them staying just north of the surface-based environment.

I'm surprised there has been no posts today. Ohio and PA have been fairly active. Still ongoing. First round is in Eastern PA now, Second round in Western PA, third round in mid Ohio as of writing.

Rotation currently evident near East Liberty OH and near Wapkoneta OH on the 3rd round of storms. In addition, a confirmed tornado went through the south suburbs of Cleveland earlier.

Yeah I'm on the west side of CLE and we got hit with something. I don't know if it was a tornado or just high regular winds, but we have a ton of trees down, gutters ripped off, wires down. It's suspiciously narrow in my neighborhood, where just a few houses down in either direction there is barely any damage.

Yeah, we're fine and actually staying at a friend's house in a different town until power comes back, which might be a while considering the damage.

At least two EF1s confirmed in my area, but I haven't seen the paths yet.

Ef3 tornadoes from tropical cyclones are few and far between, according to the SPC, only 5 of 1,782 of them from 1995-2023 were rated this.

Only in 2024 we get 2 of them from the 2 hurricanes that made landfall, Beryl and now Debby.
