Supercell is trying to get going near Reeves, LA. Might get overtaken by the line pretty quickly though.

Merging with the line may actually aid in tornadogenesis, much like what just happened west of Lake Charles.

I was looking at the storm from KPOE. It hasn't gotten any more impressive, which was what I was concerned about.

Look to be firing on the warm front. Gotta watch for the right turners along that boundary.

LLJ is not tremendously strong…looks like 30-35kts per mesoanalysis. There’s a lot of directional shear in place with SE surface winds veering to the SW at 700mb.

There was likely a tornado that passed just west of Springfield, LA. Appears to be cycling at the moment.

Seeing severe damage to homes in Lake Charles, LA. Roofs and walls gone. Looks like high-end EF2 or possibly EF3.

Not to draw too many conclusions here, but I don't think today is one that would've worked out the way it has with a prominent sub-tropical jet in place.

We also have the strongest -PDO signature since the early 2010s in place.

Yup. Multiple other cells starting to get that look too now. Velocity signatures are slowly but steadily becoming more intense.

Rotation remained pretty broad and as far as I know did not produce a tornado.
