Mid-March outbreak I believe. Before that I'm not sure.Forgot Indiana with 1. Also multiple in critical condition. Deadliest tornado outbreak since…? @Clancy
Yes but I mean ONLY tornadic. That was 21-22. If tornado outbreak killed 30 plus its been years. The storm system on March 14 and 15 had 43 fatalities as a whole, but 12/10/21 was definitely the deadliest outbreak prior to this.
Yea, December 10 then.Yes but I mean ONLY tornadic. That was 21-22.
I think 2021 was pretty high up too, mainly with the Mayfield outbreak.Pretty sure this has been the deadliest tornado year since 2011 now, right?
2021 due to the December outbreak.Pretty sure this has been the deadliest tornado year since 2011 now, right?
2023 had 83.Pretty sure this has been the deadliest tornado year since 2011 now, right?
103 fatalities.2021 due to the December outbreak.
And 2021 had 103. Dang the 2020s have been completely crazy with tornadoes.2023 had 83.
Attached garages (especially two car) are now seen as a failure point and used to downgrade wind speeds. Which makes logical sense, but is also extremely silly because 90% of houses have attached garages.how would the garage affect it's rating?
Acknowledging that we’re still in the middle of both search and recovery and an upcoming event, 2025 is currently behind 2012, 2020, 2021, and 2023 as most deadly since 2011.Pretty sure this has been the deadliest tornado year since 2011 now, right?
I would argue that this isn’t really a strong EF5 candidate yet. If there’s a house thoroughly slabbed with evidence of anchor bolts with good context surrounding it, then I think we can start discussing that. The tree scar through the forest is really impressive though, and despite that not being a viable indicator of EF5 intensity, it at least gives it a very viable shot at an EF4 rating.I will say, looking closer at these posts, this is definitely one of the stronger EF5 candidates we've had in quite a while, so maybe I'll save the skepticism until after the surveys are done. I'll have to find some of @Sawmaster's old posts in the EF thread, and repost them there, because he made some really strong points about how a lot of older houses are actually quite a bit sturdier than most newer houses.
