Severe Threat May 15-16, 2025

Honestly haven’t seen a day this violent in terms of fatalities from several tornadoes since Dec 10, 2021.

A terrible and typical mistake by the warning coordinator at NWS BMX of not issuing a severe thunderstorm warning for Randolph county, AL. At least NWS Peachtree City will get it right for their area.

I’m also concerned to see what it hit southwest of town just after it left Somerset. That’s where it seemed to peak on radar.

Without a doubt violent. Leveled homes, trees with some debarking, considerable rowing present, moderate granulation. Just awful damage. My heart and prayers go out to everyone affected by these awful storms.

Man… the way May was going i was hoping fatalities and destruction were maybe done for the spring and just like that we are about to hit past 2024s 53 fatalities for whole year.

When you got a big tornado with skyscrapers in background and 5 dead which is insane enough, to start the day, I had no idea it would only get only worse.

1959 was last time St. Louis had deaths in city from tornado..
