Severe Threat May 15-16, 2025

I'd be interested in more information about this if you want to message it to me! I think it's a pretty useful tool, and it's especially good at pattern recognition, which makes it fun to use for weather.
I tried it and it works.

That said, using ChatGPT like a glorified Google to look up easily accessible information is not really what ChatGPT was made for. It really shines for questions involving deeper thinking, solving complex problems and interpreting tons of raw data.

Not something I wanted to see, most likely not as genuine because it is TWC...

If SPC were to go High tomorrow, it would be for damaging winds especially if models start sniffing out derecho potential.

A little bit of summer, a little bit of spring in tomorrow's setup. Could definitely see a prolific derecho being the highlight of tomorrow, if things line up right.

Just isn't going to happen. SPC Mets have gone on the record saying that high risks are now reserved for events where they expect violent tornadoes. It will require a change in logic for us to ever get a high risk that isn't tornado driven again.

I understand Reed Timmer is smart, but can we not post his hypecast videos/statement?

Same with Reed Timmer quotes. If we want to read what he thinks, we all know where to find him.
on one hand, I hate constant Twitter posts clogging up these threads. On the other, I'm thankful I don't have to go to that dreadful site and can see the best weather posts from notable wx people summarized here. So I have mixed feelings about it lol.

Agreed on this. I don't really like hyping things, because all it does is either make people say is "it's a bu$t! No tornadoes!" or "Severe tornadoes are coming! Be ready!"

I watch, wait and see. I ask questions to get the gest of things for the event at hand (Like this event). I even bring some humor (or I attempt to) when the chance presents itself.
