Amen brotherI don’t think TWC has been viable in a while.

Memphis cell?Memphis cell is looking pretty good on reflectivity but nothing impressive on velocity. It does look like it might be trying to pull the outflow back in, so something to watch.
The cell going just north of Memphis TNMemphis cell?
Isn’t upscale bad for tornadogenesis?Mississippi will have to watch these storms as they move eastward and potentially grow upscale. They're not currently in the best environment, but will be moving into one.

The TOR warned cell passing from Crittenden County AR north of Memphis into Tipton County.Memphis cell?
No, cells often combine their much smaller updrafts into a singular and much more powerful updraft.Isn’t upscale bad for tornadogenesis?
Yeah just wanted clarification. That storm is quite a bit north/northwest of Memphis. The TOR warned cell passing from Crittenden County AR north of Memphis into Tipton County.
Why does this seem to be a recurring theme when there is a storm. Do these “outages” happen when there ARENT storms too, and we just notice it more during active severe weather?Relevant to the overnight portion of this event - no weather alerts for the Cullman area

NWS: Cullman NOAA weather radio all hazards station off air
The National Weather Service issued a statement saying that the Cullman NOAA weather radio all-hazards station will be off the air until further notice.www.waff.com
Their coverage of the Mayfield tornado was genuinely disgusting to see. Playing a documentary when you have a violent tornado wrecking havoc across Western Kentucky…Sorry for going slightly off topic, but anyone on this forum who knows me well enough knows I despise TWC - and for good reason.
TWC declined massively through the 2010s - the final nail in the coffin was when Greg Forbes left in 2019.
Thanks. Still learning. Legitimately thought it was detrimental. No, cells often combine their much smaller updrafts into a singular and much more powerful updraft.
It depends, it isn’t inherently a bad thing thoughThanks. Still learning. Legitimately thought it was detrimental.
I bet. There is a reason why they are known as the advertisement channel.
It ultimately depends on what scales you're talking about--for tornadogenesis, you'd want a storm to grow upscale into at least a mini-supercell (if not a full-size supercell), but usually not much larger than that.Thanks. Still learning. Legitimately thought it was detrimental.
Right! I forgot about himSorry for going slightly off topic, but anyone on this forum who knows me well enough knows I despise TWC - and for good reason.
