Severe WX Severe Threat 25 March 2021

I’m afraid of what we will hear out of Newnan tomorrow. Based on where it looks to have tracked, it just went through some very densely populated areas. I see multiple large apartment complexes, and multiple neighborhoods that are closely packed and likely all slab houses with no basements.

Sort of amazing how 04/27 has inured us to a day like today.

I don't get it. We've had several long-track, violent tornadoes, several towns have been hit head on (including densely populated areas now), there have been at least 5 people killed, and some people on social media are still saying the high risk Atmospheric Anti-Climax? I honestly want to know what isn't a Forecasted Convective Amplification Deficiency in their eyes. It's quite frankly insensitive to the people affected by these storms.

I have a good friend who lives in Newnan. He and his wife are fine (thankfully), but in his words he said he “heard the train come rumbling through” and his apartment building was shaking

Not sure of damage at his location

When this is over I think a thread about discussing it and expectations would be great. To me it was a Forecasted Convective Amplification Deficiency and no disrespect to those hurt and killed and lost everything. I will say this. 2 high risks and not one major tornado in MS. Memphis has been Moderate and high risk and not 1 warning in last 2 weeks. My thoughts and prayers are with those that have lost loved ones and homes.

Seems more often than not that when Alabama has a significant outbreak that the nocturnal threat in GA causes substantial loss of life. I hope Newnan bucks that trend but it's hard to be optimistic at this point.
