The cell has been sporadically ingesting that convective mess to its South and it has kept it in check and cycling. If it can find some clear air for an extended amount of time look out.

this shelby county storm is headed right towards my house right by (intersection of cahaba valley road and eagle point parkway). considering getting in my car and making a dash away from it down highway 280 to the east.
