Severe WX Severe Threat 17-18 March 2021

Honestly this is where a lot of folks make the mistake of getting too hung up on the wrong thing. I implore you to not consider your plans based off whether or not you are under a high risk technically or a moderate.
You're right. The 2020 Easter outbreak occurred during a Moderate Risk day, and devastating outbreaks such as Utica 2004 and Tennessee 2020 have occurred in Slight Risk areas.

I just dodged the first super that came out of Tuscaloosa and is now around 59/459 interchange. Now a new kidney bean brother is right behind him.
How’s the flooding situation at your part of Bessemer Evan? It is pretty bad at the hospital already.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BIRMINGHAM HAS ISSUED A

* TORNADO WARNING FOR...
CENTRAL AUTAUGA COUNTY IN CENTRAL ALABAMA...

* UNTIL 145 PM CDT.

* AT 1241 PM CDT, A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A
TORNADO WAS LOCATED OVER BURNSVILLE, OR NEAR VALLEY GRANDE, MOVING
NORTHEAST AT 30 MPH.

Storms around Bham interacting with the wedge boundary I'd imagine. Seeing a massive decrease in low level cloud cover to the east over SC/NC/GA so CAD definitely weakening some.

Confirmed wording from BMX now:

AT 1246 PM CDT, A CONFIRMED TORNADO WAS LOCATED OVER BURNSVILLE, OR
NEAR VALLEY GRANDE, MOVING NORTHEAST AT 30 MPH.
