Looking to help standardize the rules and standards we use for our tropical forums. We have been loosely following these rules and would like to get your input for finalization.
Unnamed Areas of Intrest (Invests, Potential Tropical Cyclone, and Tropical Depressions)
Named Storms (Tropical Storms and Hurricanes)
Any reason we should list out the category in the thread? Labels?

Unnamed Areas of Intrest (Invests, Potential Tropical Cyclone, and Tropical Depressions)
- When the NHC announces an invest a thread can be created by any member.
- Moderators or Admins should add this post to the sticky list.
- Moderators or Admins should apply the INVEST or Tropical Depression label to the thread.
Named Storms (Tropical Storms and Hurricanes)
- If there is an existing thread for an unnamed storm, the moderators or admins should update the name of the thread to reflect the status and name (i.e. Potential Tropical Cyclone 22 to Tropical Storm Thor). In the event of a hurricane, the addition of Major Hurricane should be added when the storm crosses the threshold from a Category 2 to Category 3 storm. (i.e. Hurricane Thor to Major Hurricane Thor)
- Admins or Moderators should apply the proper label of Tropical Storm or Hurricane to the thread.
- Admins will add the storm to the quick links notice as defined in the SOP area.

- Change label to Archive
- At this point if the storm made landfall and causing significant weather events past last advisory status a new thread can be created in General Weather and sticky status applied.
- Admins will storm from quick links notice. If this is the only storm the notice should be turned off.
