I think this will be a cat 5 by tomorrow and I expect this to get much further west than what models currently think. It’s really gong to pump that mid Atlantic ridge and with such a slow motion I do fear an erratic unexpected track at some point. The fact it is becoming this strong this quickly is a big time cause for concern not just from the standpoint of its impact to Jamaica in my opinion.

For record, the deadliest known hurricane in the Atlantic basin is the great Hurricane of 1780 which went from south to north over the entire Leeward and Windward Islands. That death toll is estimated at nearly 30,000.
