I guess so... It really looks like they're interacting in the same sort of way. Western circulation was forced southward, while the eastern circulation moved more northward.

This may be two separate supercells basically rotating around each other and merging with totally separate mesos, absolutely wild dynamics

So perhaps Hesston-Goessel 3/13/1990 might be a valid comparison?

Not sure the effect would be strong enough to overcome the other forces acting on them in a case like this; probably more likely it got knocked for a loop (literally) by RFD or something.
