June 21st 2023 Matador TX Tornado Discussion

I understand where the frustration about Matador's rating comes from (don't get me wrong, the rating is load of BS) but let's refrain from personal attacks please...
Agree...

Tim Marshall! Your probably more worried about fortune and fame than anything. You would make a great collection to work with people like Tim Marshall who would constantly lie to your face. I talked with Tim Marshall recently and he still agrees with the Westminster 2006 tornado being somewhere in between high-end F3 and low-end F4. You like your young maybe mid 20s and if you want to get stuck in that type of kissing up to people who lie to you then go ahead.
You are spreading this type of stuff all over social media. Welcome to my block list.

I’ve had a disagreement or two with Andy on here, but he has very publicly called out the misapplication of the EF scale multiple times on Twitter even as he works with the NSSL. The people on this board aren’t part of the problem, and people like Andy who are in those types of positions with the correct opinions who can influence this change will hopefully one day lead to the solution.

The point is that going after people aggressively on Twitter is never going to solve this issue and is probably counterproductive. This applies both to people questioning the rating and those who churn out dismissive "who cares about the rating" takes.

@andyhb

Texas Tech engineers which you cuted as the probabvle reason for the low rating. Can't fault their testing and research but they don't know their Donkey from an excavation when it comes to assessing tornadoes based on anything they didn't invent or define. And you can throw Tim Marshall in with them for his apparent loss of touch with reality. Quite a shame when I once saw him as one of the best. Hurts to lose a hero.

Block me if you wish but you'll be the loser, not me. Everyone has something unique and valuable to bring to the table, and they're worth listening to even if you don't agree with them.

This was all directed at Shakespeare, not you.

So you know what the problem is and who is causing it yet you still seem to blindly support them and worse, you ask for others to do similarly. Sorry but my conscience will not let me be so stupid. I'll back them when the8ir reality check stops bouncing, and not a second sooner.
What are you talking about?

Post #178 Don't you even remember what you say or do here? You specifically asked me for an explanation and I gave it to you. You seriously need to restrict yourself to the things you're good at until you can handle the rest better.

I don't think you're quite understanding what I'm saying. I've seen him spamming threads on Twitter and here with aggressive, confrontational posts ever since this whole thing started. I'm not going after you when I talk about blocking people.
