Drove in to work this morning in Huntsville, and some roadways were a little slippery. I saw HPD close the Parkway due to icing.
Slipperiest place was the workplace parking lot.

i've been watching MDOT cameras and Matt Laubhon live stream on YouTube.

Seems like NW MS (Memphis suburbs, Tunica, Holly Springs) is iced in already with temps WAY below freezing, while Columbus/Starkville area is now at or below freezing but not really seeing road issues yet.

New Albany has ice covering sidewalks, driveways, and roads now. temp in new albany is around 20.

Round 1 was pretty underwhelming here in the OKC metro. Drier air led to lighter flakes. Ony 1-3 inches so far

Current CAFB METAR readings and temp history since midnight. Right at the freezing mark still. Runway temps are 31°.

Made it from Meridianville to the E-911 Center off Oakwood. No sweat. Some of the roads were still warm showing puddles. Oakwood was pretty slick, but passable. I hear the parkway in Huntsville, is of course, rough at the overpasses. Hope the rain starts around 1.

I'm just north of Highway 72 on the Limestone County/Madison County (Ala) line. Sitting at 24° for a while now. There's a glaze of ice on polywood patio furniture, concrete patio, and some tree leaves. A light precipitation is still falling.

It's interesting. On radar Memphis is firmly in snow, but my friends there are reporting it's been sleeting the whole time.
