One thing that hasn’t been talked about much is how much snowpack will be across the country and how a large an area will be well below freezing for an extended time, well into next week, which will have residual impacts in later extended forecasts

I think it will go more towards the SW. Blairsville is not really a CAD-favored area.Ice storm warning for the NE GA counties. FFC mentions in their 2am discussion that an expansion is “probable” — I would guess Blairsville and Athens would be in that expansion zone.
I would settle for some flurries at this point...there is definitely a snow shield around the west central Alabama area (Selma, Demopolis, Livingston). We missed out on both major snow events last year.Im hoping we can get enough backside moisture for a dusting or inch of snow here in central Alabama.
today is the last day above freezing for us on the ten-day forecast and it's not going even to get out of the 20s until next weekend, so yeah, this snow is gonna be here for a while unfortunatelyOne thing that hasn’t been talked about much is how much snowpack will be across the country and how a large an area will be well below freezing for an extended time, well into next week, which will have residual impacts in later extended forecasts
It's warmer here this morning than it was yesterday; I'm a little confused but I'm sure it'll still get here eventually.Woke up to a crisp 7 degrees with a wind chill of -10. Trying to enjoy it because this is the warmest it will be the rest of the weekend. Snow should begin falling about Noon.
Anybody else think that the ice storm warning in NE GA will be extended to include parts of the metro?

Icey roads on Monday might keep us home .I know I'm not the only one who is amazed at the DOME of rain over Alabama for all of this. Trying to be grateful it's just another rainy weekend...but I sure did want to be off work another Monday. Can't help but feel left out. Guess my 5 year old is still alive and well. Have a great day everyone and stay dry!
That model is showing a trace to .10 inch for me in southwest blount county Alabama. That's intrestingAnybody else think that the ice storm warning in NE GA will be extended to include parts of the metro?

FFC mentioned in their 2am discussion expansion of the warning was "probable" but they didn't specify in what direction. My guess would be at least south to Athens and potentially west to the metro depending on what this morning's models show.Anybody else think that the ice storm warning in NE GA will be extended to include parts of the metro?
