Hurricane Hurricane Milton

Lets not ever again give a hurricane a landfall with shear….
It wasn’t only the shear here, the dry air that Milton brought and some sunshine early in the day also led to some extreme low level instability which is normally very unusual for tropical cyclones. So not only did we have extreme low level shear, the instability really got this going.

Either way, what a horrible day it continues to be.

EDIT: This information is coming from Trey’s video.

I’m starting to wonder if a moderate risk of severe thunderstorms would have verified for central and south Florida. I’m not sure a moderate risk of severe weather has ever been issued for tropical related systems.
I'm not sure what it would take because of basically only a tornado only risk, but I will say there have been moderate days with a less number of strong tornadoes that we've already seen today.

TDS on that storm in between the 2 TORPs.
