I know we mainly talk about the Atlantic here but 1. the Atlantic is dead right now and 2. Lane in the Pacific seems like it could be a major problem for Hawaii soon, so I figured it merited a thread.

Hopefully this storm will weaken before it gets any closer to the islands, I know they need rain but not this much! Keeping my fingers crossed it weakens or misses completely!

I went ahead and put the thread at the top. Lets keep an eye on this. Looks like a direct hit for them. When was the last one that hit Hawaii?

They've had a lot make close passes over the years but the last direct landfall (given what small targets the islands are) was Iniki in 1992.

Lane is now a tropical storm. However parts of the island of Hawaii have received over 50 inches of rain from this system.
