Yeah, I fussed too soon about not getting the expected rain in my area (SW Blount County north of Birmingham). We should surpass 4 inches for the storm total sometime later this morning with this band sitting on top of us.
 
I'm right at a radar estimated 6", with a heavy batch rotating in as we speak overnight; excellent sleep weather and quite a drought buster. Unfortunately Francine did quite a number on the weather for Foothills Festival in Jasper, but still found enough breaks in the rain to have fun and no one seemed to mind the fickle weather tonight anyway. Vendors said it was horrible yesterday though with lots of heavy rain.
 
I was really hoping for some rain from Francine. I received 0.51" IMBY. I guess that qualifies as "some rain", but not what I was hoping for.
