I was 300 yards from the Tuscaloosa tornado circulation. Crossed right in front of me. Unbelievable motion and rotating, got a brief funnel but no tornado, however the rfd behind it was the strongest I’ve ever encountered. I would guess 70 mph, rocked my car bad. Power stayed on
Whole line seems to be consolidating now. This system may behave pretty well.

HRR. model nailed this exactly. It has cells coming near bham then going to a line around bham or just east of i65
Concerned this may put one down right along 459/119 between 65 and 280 in the next few minutes. Circulation got messy for a few minutes, but tightened back up just now from KGWX and KMXX. Hopefully it stays not producing, but we'll know real quick if it does based on how close it is to KBMX.
That one just doesn't want to cooperate and die.
Pretty sure that is indeed a TDS.

There are a lot of Alabama power transmission lines coming from Gaston Steam Plant that debris signature just crossed.

CC suggests the tornado remains in progress, passing barely south and east of Moody.

I'm not fully convinced it has dissipated. Lifted, sure. But I think it's still spinning.
