Hurricane Eta

It's a 5. Recon will confirm that. The T-numbers are off the chart for a storm in this basin. Simply unbelievable. Doubt much weakening, if any, will take place before landfall. Likely another system intensifying up until landfall.

The potential death toll and damage from a storm like this (and ensuing flood event) is hard to even imagine. Someone mentioned Hurricane Mitch -- that's an unfortunate baseline for what is likely to occur.

This thing has to be close to 900mb if not even lower. 7.9 raw Dvorak T-number. In November????? Just historic.

I think we’re looking at sub 920s for pressure. Raw ADT up to 8.1 now.

I wouldn't be shocked to see something anywhere from 890 - 915 or so. Not even going to try to guess what kind of wind speed recon will find.
