Severe WX December 31, 2021 - January 1, 2022 Severe Threat

Brad Travis thinks this storm west of Tuscumbia needs a Tor Warning ... strong rotation on radar.

Sorry Kim30, I missed your earlier WAFF post.

I think it's got a BWER on it?

HUN has handled that cell approaching Muscle Shoals well, IMO. It has steadily become more organized, but low level rotation has remained too broad. That’s not to say tornadogenesis won’t occur soon if it tightens some.

Cell near Belmont, MS is doing the same. Inflow region slowly organizing. We’ll see what happens in the next 30 minutes.

I went back and listened to what WAFF's Brad Travis said earlier: He said that you need to take your tornado precautions now if you live in that area even though the storm is not tornado warned.
I misquoted Brad ... I don't want to do that.

Agree. Context matters a lot in this situation. These cells haven't been producing and keep cycling. If everything was producing today or there was a history with this storm they would've likely warned.

I think the Mets are a little nervous Bc of the storms that produced yesterday didn’t look like anything on radar. These storms go cellular and get broad rotation, then the updraft rips apart. Wondering if he winds aloft are too strong and destroying them

The cell SE of Corinth, MS is looking intriguing.
