The distance from the highway to the Mississippi River is ~4 miles.
Was this from the first violent tornado?

The sideways photos are not apart of it being rushed. Also they never resurveyed Bremen, they were actually surveying another tornado near Central City. Two of the pictures were taken SIDEWAYS and therefore apparently rushed. What was the point of sending a survey team back to Bremen, if they were just going to half @ss it again anyway?
Yes it wasWas this from the first violent tornado?
Sorry but I'm gonna have to disagree. I understand sideways pictures happen with smartphones sometimes but if they can't take five seconds to look at the picture they just took instead of saying "eh, good enough" that really says something imo.The sideways photos are not apart of it being rushed. NWS PAH said they were sending another survey team to the Central City area which some people thought they mean’t Bremen. Also NWS PAH said the photos didn’t rotate properly when inserting them so they will have to manually rotate all the photos eventually.Sorry but I'm gonna have to disagree. Also didn't someone on here say they were sending another survey team to Bremen?
Okay thanks for clearing that up.NWS PAH said they were sending another survey team to the Central City area which some people thought they mean’t Bremen. Also NWS PAH said the photos didn’t rotate properly when inserting them so they will have to manually rotate all the photos eventually.
I wish more public figures in the private sector would be explicitly calling this an EF5 based on DIs rather than deferring to the NWS.While I respect people like Simon Brewer, their tendency to hew closely to the “official” line and procedure in regard to DIs is troubling. For example, the tweets highlighted above are remarkably reluctant to explicitly state that the clearcut EF5 damage is, well, EF5 damage, but instead sides with “at least high-end EF4.” At this point, people need more courage to call a spade a spade and not waffle with qualifiers such as “borderline EF4/5” or “high-end EF4 or EF5 damage.” The contextual DIs clearly support EF5, not “high-end EF4.” This is not a “borderline” case, any more than Chickasha, Goldsby, Vilonia, Chapman, et al. were “borderline”: it is blatantly obvious. The UK research facility alone is well into the EF5 category, as is the trench-digging, the destruction of well-built brick buildings in downtown Mayfield, the ground scouring, the extreme granulation, the damage to vehicles, etc.
Forget the WFOs. The final decision in regard to the EF ratings was probably “out of their hands” from the start. The rot is on the national rather than the local level.Just played my last card in trying to make Paducah aware of the scouring and even included photos and coordinates. I'm probably wasting my time, but I know I would forever be punching myself in the face if I didn't at least try.
What's the wind speed of it? Also that house looks like it might have been under-construction or very new.New EF4 DI in Cambridge Shores. I know, I know, it's the dreaded subflooring, but the photo shows closely spaced proper anchor bolts and sill plating all around the foundation.

I'm not sure I'd infer that given the First Christian Church and First Presbyterian Church suffered more complete damage and were in the core.Interesting how the most intense structural damage in downtown Mayfield seems to have occurred away from the center line of the damage path. I’d infer that the very intense damage to the Methodist Church occurred as a result of a strong sub-vortex. The fact that it appears this tornado was able to collapse extremely thick, heavy stone walls (possibly marble or granite it looks like) is just downright terrifying. Looks worse than any of the damage to masonry buildings after the Czech F4.
