I wonder how far this thing is carrying debris. Probably 50+ miles.
Honestly I think there's so much of a stigma against being sensationalistic and "overblowing" an event that a lot of offices swing in the opposite direction and remain conservative even when it puts lives at risk. I'm all in favour of being conservative with forecasts even day-of, but when it's obvious that there's a significant severe weather outbreak going on then that sort of restraint in the warnings needs to be put aside. What is it with PAH and delaying these TORE's until the literal last minute? They had PLENTY of time to issue a TORE for Mayfield and now Benton. There is simply no excuse for this.
This has been going 140 miles, I could see another 100 easily. New tri state tornado
At least with it being on a Friday night, I can stay up as I don’t have work in the morning. Its been a rough week. I need to go to bed, I want to go to bed, but for the life of me I cant take my eyes off the radar.
