Probably a dumb question, but how does Cristobal manage to continue all that convection so far inland (Arkansas and Mississippi, mostly, here)?

LOL Wes said it would Go West, I said it would go East, and lo and behold it follows the dang trajectory put out days in advance. Right through the center of Mississippi.
