This is looking more and more like a northern Gulf coast US land falling hurricane.

Houston looks to be in the bullseye. Thankfully Euro doesn’t have it sticking around like past storms that caused historic flooding.

We now have Tropical Storm Cristobal. From NHC:

...DEPRESSION STRENGTHENS TO A TROPICAL STORM...

Observations from an Air Force Reserve Unit Hurricane Hunter
aircraft indicate that Tropical Depression Three has strengthened
into Tropical Storm Cristobal. The maximum winds are estimated to
be 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts.

I wouldn't trust the wind cone yet, the models are still all over the place. I wouldn't put much stock in anything until after it's turned back north.

I believe that it is going to move a little further east but not a ton. I would say it is going to brush New Orleans to its west and come straight up MS.

See I was thinking maybe more west looking at some of the model guidance. Either way glad I don't live down there.
