While all eyes are on today's threat across a large area, signs definitely point to the potential for a substantial severe event in the Deep South this weekend.

I'll run a WRF-ARW model run later today for Saturday/Sunday. Definitely a constant sequence of events. I think when all is said and done and the damage is fully seen, it will be a historic multi-day series of outbreaks. We can't forget the Flood risk either. My model is showing some areas in Arkansas might pick up an *additional* 20 inches between now and Saturday.

It’s such a double edged sword today because you want showers to Work over the atmosphere in Arkansas but you also don’t want flooding. That trough just being parked over this area of the CONUS just isn’t good

4 days of continuous severe weather, two of them covered in this thread. Pretty substantial tornado thread, according to CSU's probabilities, across Mississippi on April 5.
