I can understand the desire if there's large hail. But the myth of overpasses being "safe" got so much airtime and I don't think the "debunking" of it gets much. Someone at work today mentioned doing this during a recent storm and I should have said something, because people just don't seem to know.

Getting rear ended at 70 mph will do more damage to these people than the hail they are trying to avoid
