Active Shooter Situation at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville.

Trying to. Reports from people inside the Sparkman Center is that they are taking the situation seriously. Some people that were sheltering in the Sparkman Center are being escorted out of the building.

People are being allowed to leave the Arsenal. The Sparkman Center is still Shut Down.

Lockdown was lifted at 12:30. Sparkman Center is limited access at the moment.

I'm not going to repeat the rumors that are floating around but about 30-45 minutes after the lockdown began I saw an ambulance with about 10-12 police vehicles, all with lights and sirens on, on Vincent then turning left(west) on Goss Road. I can only presume they were headed to Fox Medical Center and that even though Fox is no longer a hospital they have a provisional plan in a major incident. About 15 minutes later I saw another ambulance, this time escorted by 2-3 police cars headed in the same direction. The number of ambulances would equal the number of rumored "victims".

RSA received two 911 calls indicating an active shooter and none were found. What a mess. Hope they find the person that called in and get some answers. In other news the active shooter drill for tomorrow has been canceled.

The Garrison Commander mentioned a couple of medical related incidents to people outside and not involved. That could explain the second ambulance I saw. I find it hard to believe that the first ambulance I saw was a simple medical emergency, not when there are double digit emergency vehicles escorting the ambulance DURING an active shooter event.

That makes sense. Hell I would would have more than likely had a heartattack.
