2025 Global Tropical Cyclone Season Discussion

okay so i thought i read in that text that person made with the word possibility or something among the lines of maybe low possibility or something like that nope and considering how the gfs and euro ai models are relatively brand new i would just take that with a grain of salt but hopefully i did not post something like fantasy gfs runs for example on here

When you want to say enough is enough…

The EPAC has now gotten another new area of interest (the seventh of the season so far)

This has to be amongst the most active Junes on record for this region. The only one better I can think of off the top of my head is 2018, which got to F in the names but had two majors rather than one. I’d love to hear the stats on that.

Tropical Storm Flossie formed yesterday, and it is expected to at least reach Category 2. Since Flossie formed in June, I think an stats for it will count for June.

2018 went down as the third most active season counting the Central Pacific as well. 1

2018 also occurred just three years after the historic 2015 season (which went down as the second most active season on record, one named storm shy of tying the record of most active season ever recorded)

Tropical Storm Flossie has become the earliest sixth named storm on record in the Eastern Pacific.

Here is the table timeline for 2018 (the pale orange at the end of June 2018 is Hurricane Fabio, which developed on June 30th but became a hurricane in the first days of July)

And here is 2025 up to the present;

Both seasons had at least two systems remaining a tropical storm, but the other three became a hurricane.

I just keep wondering when our first Atlantic hurricane will be @Atlantic
