The NHC is issuing advisories on PTC6 as it approaches Hispaniola. We'll probably have Fred later today.
Latest Henri track on GFS shows it giving New York a kiss before flowing off into the AtlanticModels have shifted Henri significantly west, to the point where a landfall in New England is on the table. Probably needs a dedicated thread.
That would possibly be helpful with the severe drought they are experiencing but would also potentially create dangerous flash flooding. One storm worth keeping an eye on is Tropical Storm Nora out in the Pacific. NHC has the storm moving generally N to slightly NW as it skirts the western coast of Mexico as a hurricane. Most interstingly is that the storm has the potential to make landfall in Baja California with its remnants bringing heavy rain and thunderstorms to the southwestern United States (namely Southern California and Arizona).
Incidentally, Hurricane Nora reached Arizona as a tropical storm in 1997.
