The lead prosecutor in the Roger Stone case has resigned after Trump forced the DOJ to lessen the sentencing recommendation for Roger Stone.

Edit: And now another prosecutor has resigned.

I can't imagine many people are enthusiastic about Biden. Especially when you could pick Klobuchar or Buttigieg instead. After the second debate I had my eye on Buttigieg and my family were interested (and still are) about Klobuchar. While I still favor Sanders I'm not completely decided yet. I could go for either three, but mainly Buttigieg or Sanders.

If go for Buttigieg over Sanders any day. Sanders seems very hypocritical to me. I also think he is waaaay too far left.

Welp, Bloomberg’s campaign is toast.
I've taken a vacation from this thread... why is his campaign toast? Sure hasn't changed the crazy amount of ads I see everywhere... I had 3 back to back ads on Hulu for him. Ridiculous .

I'm pretty sure Kory was referring to the "stop and frisk" comments that Bloomberg made in the past. That definitely won't help him in the minority communities, but when you have as much money as Bloomberg has, you probably won't let a little thing like perceived racism stop you from campaigning.

Gotcha.. make sense.

Meanwhile anyone up for joining the Space Guard?

Pentagon Mulls Space National Guard Options

National Guard officials are pushing for the Defense Department and Congress to create a Space National Guard despite some uncertainty within the Pentagon about how to move forward. The Office of the Secretary of Defense is drawing up multiple options for what the Space Force’s reserve component might look like, including creating a single-component service with full-time and part-time employees instead of traditional Reserve or National Guard units, or possibly ditching the reserve component altogether, said Maj. Gen. David Baldwin, California’s adjutant general.

Trump admitted today that he sent Rudy to Ukraine. During impeachment, he lied and said he had not done so.

So I listened to both interviews and the section where each on talks about Rudy going to Ukraine. Trump Denies multiple times that he sent Rudy to Ukraine in the Interview with Bill O'Reilly. In the interview with Geraldo, Geraldo asks if he was sorry that he sent Rudy to Ukraine. Trump here says not at all, and then says the very same thing about Rudy he did during the O'Reilly interview.
The key parts and the difference in the questions is O'Reilly was asking if Trump sent Rudy to Ukraine to put heat on them and to dig up dirt on Biden. The answer was no.
Geraldo asks If he was sorry that he sent Rudy to Ukraine. Here it isn't asked about digging dirt up on Biden. CNN is twisting the story

Now granted it doesn't look good and it gives a sound bite to the Media that Trump should have just left off.

I think this is a non story but one the left will use in a soundbite and exclude the parts said before and after the question and direct answer. Misleading is what that is.

Lmao. Democrats are the party of science. Please tell me how forcing a medical procedure that stops reproduction is the same as preventing a medical procedure that results in loss of life?

Just when I think I’ve escaped the political twilight zone that was Louisiana, Alabama comes right back to remind me that it is an embarrassment to this country. Can we require all lawmakers from Birmingham to have a lobotomy? That would solve a lot of issues....

I'd vote to re-elect Trump before I'd vote for Bloomberg. I don't even remotely believe that Bloomberg's poll numbers will translate to a commensurate number of votes. He has stellar name recognition. Americans are inherently lazy and prone to being influenced by really dumb things. People have heard Bloomberg's name because of his TV network, news site, and time as Mayor of the country's largest city and media market.

People don't want to look stupid to a pollster or survey taker. Bloomberg is an easy name to respond positively to when you're trying not to look dumb, and when you want to appear independent and different (another American trait).

But electability is hardly my primary complaint about Bloomberg. He's a complete fascist nanny-stater, and a spoiled Billionaire used to buying anything he wants. If we further lower the Presidency, so that any egotistical Billionaire can buy it and become POTUS, then we've added even more to the institutional decline of our government.

If Bloomberg was supposedly concerned about Sanders winning the nomination then he could've put his 300-400 billion behind Joe Biden. Actually, wouldn't have even needed that much. Bloomberg has claimed he'll back the eventual nominee with essentially unlimited funds. OK, so why are you running? It's ego. FWIW, Bloomberg also has a history of being extremely vindictive toward his enemies -- much like Trump.

Politics are so screwed up these days. Imagine thinking Bloomberg, Trump, Steyer, Bernie, etc are better candidates than Andrew Yang. I didn't agree with all of Yang's politics, but we finally had a normal person running for office who was able to admit he didn't know everything, acknowledged mistakes in life, and actually knew the price of a gallon of milk. A lot of voters recoiled from Yang's promise of a 1k per month Universal Basic Income, but what he proposed isn't all that dissimilar from how our current income tax system rebates taxpayers tax credits and/or returns withholding. Yang's plan was essentially a massive tax cut for the lower/middle classes. Say what you want about Bernie's insane socialist fantasies, but any sober and intelligent person realizes Bernie's plans mean everyone's taxes skyrocket.

I was never even really a Yang supporter, but the man had decency toward all and refused to condemn Republicans or Trump voters. Someone who lacks that partisan zeal will never win a primary in today's world, and that demonstrates everything that is broken about our system.

So you are saying he may have sent him, but not to apply any heat or dig up dirt? Why did he send him?

I am saying that more than likely he was sent to look into the corruption but wasn't looking for dirt on Biden to use against him. Here is the mistake the Democrats made. If they thought Trump was going to use this against Biden during the campaign, the democrats should have waited until Trump used it during the campaign, then they would have had him in a slam dunk. Now honestly we do not know either way, because the left couldn't wait to try and take down Trump instead of letting him self destruct.

Nancy and Adam completed the job of taking Biden out of the presidential race and putting what looks like to be Trump vs Sanders in the 2020 election.

They put that up with no actual expectation it should or will become law. It's a message. They're saying the previous law abolishes a woman's right to choose what to do with her own body. The vasectomy law would abolish a man's right to choose what he can do with his own body.
It's just political grandstanding.

It’s a false equivalency of the highest order, but I’m not shocked. Even in her OWN statement she released, this is “to prevent unwanted pregnancies resulting in abortion” not just “neutralization of the 2019 abortion bill.”

Are there any stats or science to back that statement up as to how this bill in particular will do that? Why the age of 50? Can she sight any particular study? If you’re going to try and make an argument (which she is going beyond just “neutralizing the abortion bill” through some exaggerated nonsense) provide some sort of scientific study. Many medical studies are attached to abortion bills showing the viability of fetuses or the reception of pain during development or organ/nerve development through the course of pregnancy. There is scientific basis to that. This garbage is just what it is...

But alas, I’ve seen the boondoggle that is Birmingham so it’s unsurprising this is what it produces. Oh, and she’s been arrested for domestic violence too!

“Responsibility is not just on the woman. It takes two to tangle.” Lol, first off its tango, you mouth breather. Second, by that logic, should the father get rights in determining what happens to the fetus in that case?
