Nah, he just stoked racial tensions and divisions in the country. Two terms of Obama's leadership left America as weak as ever. A steady stream of claims that America was an inherently racist society with a judicial system and law enforcement stacked against minorities. He led the Democrat charge of fostering identity politics, which superseded the rule of law. His Justice Department was a sham picking and choosing what to enforce and what not to. Scandals in the IRS, such as weaponizing them to target political opponents is something more commonly seen in authoritarian hellholes. Let us not forget the VA under his admin abandoning the very people who fought for this country and our present-day rights. Oh, and letting ISIS the "JV team" lob off heads and foster homegrown terror cells. The bombing of Libya has led to collapse and chaos there, the "red line" in Syria has allowed the mass execution of civilians by chemical weapons. And Obamacare...shall I go on?

So, please, tell me more about a little name calling...

Like I said, I didn’t say he was a good president, but he didn’t act like a child. There’s a big difference between not being good at your job and acting like you are 11.

I'd rather somebody act like they're 11 and be good for the country then have somebody act like and be hailed as the best person in office in modern history and do so much damage to the social fabric of the country. For that matter, I think Obama did more damage to said social fabric than Trump did. Trump gaining so much support was simply reactionary.

This right here. You can thank 8 years of Obama and Dems demonizing a particular sect of Americans for a Trump presidency (they're still doing it to this day). Whether their anger and frustration was justified or not (I'm not commenting on that), Trump tapped into that electorate and won. We'll see in 2020 whether America likes the way the country is headed. But under Obama's 2 terms, Democrats lost 70 seats in Congress and nearly 900 at the state level. The people didn't like the way it was headed under Obama. And I don't see the Democrats putting up a platform besides "bad orange man in the White House, vote for socialism." Tell me how that is going to convince Americans to vote the other side come 2020?

I sure as hell don't see America voting for anybody except Trump in 2020 unless the democratic candidate is moderate enough to win, well, moderates. It's well documented that the political left is taking a sharp turn to the left in american politics, and it shows. The end result is that moderates are going to be pushed away by the left, and are more likely to vote for Trump.

It was. It was also a matter of Hillary being a terrible candidate.

Lots of people would say Obama was too weak. See Iran, Russia, Merrick Garland, etc.

Trump has severely damaged the moral fabric of our country. He has normalized lying, fraternizing with autocrats, infidelity, and nepotism.

I can’t recall a president who has lied so much.

The fact that you think they weren't normalized before shows how good past presidents have been at covering it up. This sort of thing has been normal for as long as I've been following politics and I'm sure long before.

About Mundane excrement, sure. I'd say that in terms of campaign and policy, Trump has been better about promises than Obama by quite a large margin.
