Low toppedIt's interesting that strong tornadoes are possible when the cells are maxing out at 25k feet. That certainly is one very nasty Updraft helicity swath on the HRRR though.

Elie was not low topped. That storm occurred in a pretty explosive thermodynamic environment. I would not recommend using Google AI as a sole trust of information. It's not using properly validated sources the majority of the time. This is what AI has to say about low-topped tornado events. Any objections?

The most notable low top tornado I could find was the 2007 Elie, Manitoba F5.
Into EF3 range isee
In that case I can't find any examples of a low-topped tornado over EF3 intensity. Granted there doesn't seem to be much discussion about the topic anywhere.Elie was not low topped. Yeah I am not saying I agree, but just nice to see for first time this year.Pretty bullish intensity probs for the tornadoes. Even higher than I would go given the conditional nature but I can see a few outcomes where an isolated LE EF-3 happens.
Still rather conditional so take this with a grain of salt.
Ohio Veterans Day 2002 F4.In that case I can't find any examples of a low-topped tornado over EF3 intensity. Granted there doesn't seem to be much discussion about the topic anywhere.
Agreed on not trusting AI, in this case I was just using it as a starting point for discussion. Getting a 10% hatched and such a bullish forecast for this setup is interesting.
Oh, Van Wert-Roselms. I can't remember if that was low-topped or not.Ohio Veterans Day 2002 F4.
