That's not this event lol I should have said that, that's a random sounding I looked up to give a better idea. Think that was Alabama on April 27th if I'm not mistakenWhen and where was that sounding taken?

Thursday:
SPC dropped much of this risk in the most recent update.
that was most certainly not 4/27. 4/27 soundings were ridiculous and would stick out like a sore thumb. That's not this event lol I should have said that, that's a random sounding I looked up to give a better idea. Think that was Alabama on April 27th if I'm not mistaken
If you click on the attachment to the post i replied to, it was the Day 2 marginal risk for parts of Mississippi, Arkansas,, Texas, Louisiana, and Tennessee: https://talkweather.com/threads/severe-weather-threat-jan-12th-2023.2058/post-82264 Yes, the Day 3/Thursday risk hasn't change as i posted here: https://talkweather.com/threads/severe-weather-threat-jan-12th-2023.2058/post-82265Not sure what was dropped. The last SPC update for Thu happened in the wee hours of Tue morning and that looked the same as the previous day4 outlook.

Your sounding was from april 23, 2014. You can see it in the top left in YYYYMMDD format.

Think it's important to note the line of low topped supercells the HRRR forecasts for north Alabama. For Thursday morning . Sneaky event coming up.View attachment 16684View attachment 16685View attachment 16686View attachment 16687
At 00z 06z 12z 18z a long range run of the hrrr comes out that goes to 48 hours.I didn’t know the HRRR went out that far. Was thinking it was only 18 hrs.

Still not getting my hopes up for any kind of higher end event. If SPC ends up issuing an EHN I’ll be surprised00z hrrr is nasty lol larger post coming in just a second

Those UH streaks are nothing to sleep on for GA. Though the forecast still looks linear, with it coming through during the late afternoon into early evening, the line may be strengthening, if anything, as it approaches the state line.A lot of shear along the line, get any bit of backing of winds with the semi broken line / lines and you'll have some spin ups View attachment 16691
