A late April day with the main story being a destructive Andover tornado... history repeats itself it seems!

Fascinating how low precip the hook was making it extremely visible (likely due to the high base in both cases) and how far to the left it hooked as the meso cycled over

That occlusion reminds me a lot of the Salado, TX tornado from earlier this year.

Kinda surprised at lack of PDS wording in the warnings (unless I missed one), esp. when Andover tornado was on the ground and widely visible going through a populated area.

Absolutely surreal helical vortices on that. Motion plus pictures of severe vegetation damage no doubt cements this as an EF3+ tornado. Going to be some jaw dropping HD videos coming out tomorrow
