I would think an empty railcar would still be quite heavy, probably tens of thousands of pounds. Could mid-grade EF2 winds actually be able to toss one of those 30 yards up a hill? I would've thought it would take something stronger, but admittedly I'm not an expert, lol.

Edit: According to this place, 55ft covered hoppers weigh about 65,000lbs.

Some damage feature near Hartford when tornado entered Ohio County: The 130mph+ damage width in this area was around half a mile. Trucks tossed on the edge of the tornado and trees were debarked. Debris pattern in the centerline was impressive.

The white church which was completely destroyed was referred to as an institutional building. It carries an expected value of 210 mph which is an EF5. What NWS IN Paducah did was they assigned it as an institutional building and put the description complete destruction of a large section of the building or the the entire building and assigned a 190 mph wind speed value to it. The complete destruction of a large section of the building or the entire building(DOD 11) is actually that of a Jr. High or High School Building which carries an expected value of 192 mph so hence 190 mph. An institutional building is also a DOD 11 and states significant damage to building envelope which has an expected value of 210 mph.

Railcar in Barnsley rated EF2 120mph. Cars were empty.

That is complete and total bull crap. The 2008 Lake Perris tornado was rated 120MPH EF2 based on empty rail cars being DERAILED. Not tossed.

You know what the ironic part is? Tim Marshall worked on the survey of the Lake Perris tornado and gave the rail cars the EF2 rating, yet this dumpster fire of a survey gets no criticism from him.

To be fair I have never seen a case of railcars being rated above EF2 even though more extreme cases like Tuscaloosa and this one probably takes stronger winds to accomplish.

Right, there's a clear difference between being tossed vs. simply "derailed." Like the difference between vehicles getting tumbled/overturned in EF2-3 tornadoes, and hurled through the air and mangled beyond recognition in high-end violent ones.

Was sent this picture not too long ago and I admit I'm not sure what to make of it. Might be from the Bremen area but I'm not even sure what it shows. Thinking it may have been a radio station due to the crumpled tower and what appears to be a slabbed building nearby but it could also be one of those things used to water crops.

I saw this elsewhere and it was indeed a collapsed radio or cell tower. The slab is likely what’s left of a small utility building, which are common at sites like these.

The UK building got EF3 153 mph which is even lower than its previous rating of EF4 170. I don't understand why it got such a low rating. Also for some reason there is a 2nd DI for the same building near it with an EF3 165 mph rating.

Also, some EF4 DIs were added to Cayce.
