What is with SHV only updating about half as often as other NEXRAD sites? I'm getting a scan every 6 minutes as opposed to one every 2-3.

I'm having the same problem.
It seems that they didn't activate the special scan modes (AVSET/SAILS/MRLE/etc.) for whatever reason(s). Hopefully this doesn't become a factor in leading to more injuries/deaths (knock on wood!)...
EDIT: Actually, it looks like they have been using those modes, but sometimes for whatever reasons they (seemingly) will be disabled, then re-enabled at seemingly random intervals. I've also seen that happen from time to time with other radars, and since I don't operate any of the radars myself I have no real explanation for it.

Made it to the Fayette cell, at an overpass near Cordova watching the SW flank. It's fallen apart and barely is rotating now but it's something at least. Nice CGs.

This ongoing outbreak definitely caught me off guard despite the Enhanced Risk, I just got "that feeling" and happened to tune in at exactly the right time...
The storm nearing Carthage looks like it'll pass uncomfortably close to the south of said town.
I got a similar feeling fairly early in the day, and started tracking not long before 3:00 PM.

Saw a gorgeous laminar weakly rotating updraft lit by lightning flashes just N of Cordova, will get some vid capture up. It's crossing right over Jasper right now, headed back north
