Severe WX Severe Threat 25 March 2021

The storms running through SE Baton Rouge LA are producing a LOT of thunder.

I was just noticing that. Again, I don’t recall any modeling that had convection developing that far south (this early at least). They should become increasingly severe as they lift NE.

Even NHK in Tokyo is covering the severe threat.

I really think we are about to see some changes from Miss into Alabama. The instability will spread northeastward and the showers will lift northeastward as well as the low begins to deepen. This will set the stage.
High capes, deepening low with strong pressure falls and intense shear...all coming together.

Yeah even the last HRRR is largely missing the intensity of those cells.

Sun is coming out in south west Limestone County AL. I’m on the river. Not very appealing right now!

Sun is coming out here in Monroe County ms. Up to 68 from 65 in about ten minutes.

Looking at models, it seems like the best threat is a little more south. Instead of i-22 being the hot spot, maybe from Jackson to to Cullman back to Columbus Mississippi seems to be the hot spot according to the HRRR
