Arky Hogs getting blown out by WKU. Maybe the most embarrassing loss in my recent SEC memory.

#4 Penn State just fell to Minnesota who are now 9-0. Tuesday's night new CFB Playoff rankings will be very interesting.

Just have to hope Bama keeps it from getting ugly at this point.

Sarkisian was the weak link heading into the season, and he proved it today

LSU beats Alabama, and the loss by Bama most likely takes them out of the #CFBPlayoff. Bama would need to see LSU, Ohio State, or Clemson lose a game for Alabama to have a chance to be in the playoff. If Georgia beats LSU in the SEC Champ., Bama is out for good. #LSUvsBAMA

One has to wonder, what time and network will the Iron Bowl be played on now. CBS will likely take the LSU vs. Texas A&M game on November 30th, leaving ESPN to broadcast the Iron Bowl. Hey, it's a good trade off. People will love not listening to Gary Danielson!

Lol. It was our defense.

You werent expecting a shootout? I figured 40+ points would be needed to win, neither defense is very good. Obviously not getting any big stops was critical, especially late.

I didn’t expect head-scratching playcalling in the first half and only 7 points on offense.

I am not enthusiastic about either one of these teams (LSU and Bama) because of defense. Nothing to take away from Joe Burrow. A quarter back is supposed to hit wide open receivers. A quarter back is supposed to run for a first down when no one accounts for him in the RPO game or scramble opportunities. He did what a quarter back is supposed to do take what the defense gives you and he was given a lot. I would say Tua actually outplayed him in the case that he completes passes to receivers that were decently covered not mostly running free from busted assignments on defense. As fun as the offense is to watch the defense is not. Sometimes the biggest play defense is to wrap up make the tackle not swipe and grab at the ball or put your head down and just launch yourself for the big hit cause it’s a cheap way to play and it gets you beat against good athletes.
I know there’s a lot of young guys playing with talent so hopefully Saban can teach them how to play Alabama defense the way it’s supposed to be played go forward for the rest of the year and into next few years. But I couldn’t stomach seeing this defense play against any other if the elite offenses in the country this year nor LSU ‘s defense for that matter. But yeah you can’t make mistakes and play sloppy against Joe Burrow he will beat you but solid play against him will do just look at Auburn’s job against him.

Sark did fine. Tua's fumble likely cost Bama 7 points(ok, maybe 6 lol). Tua was rusty and it showed. The offense adjusted to what LSU was doing and started making plays.

I think it is obvious they don't have the right guy leading the defense. Even with the injuries taken into account, this defense is not very good. Those young guys have 9 games under their belt now, yet they seem to be regressing if anything. Basically, the defense is human and like most others in college football right now.

I disagree on the first half playcalling. Tua was a little rusty, but he wasn’t put in a lot of good spots either. LSU’s D deserves some credit for that obviously, but all game I felt LSU’s offense schemed well against Bama’s D, but never felt the same about Bama’s O against LSU’s D.

We had a bad recruiting year in 2018 that definitely hurt us. The ship was righted this past signing class but if you want to compete with elite teams you can’t have an off year. It showed.

LSU at Alabama was the most-watched college football game (with over 16 million viewers) since the 2011 game of the century.

I did get the feeling of LSU getting the matchups and plays that they wanted vs Tua and the receivers making plays despite being covered. Alabama’s secondary could not get into the right coverage at the line of scrimmage when LSU shifted and sent a man in motion across the formation. I bet Saban didn’t sleep good last night that playing over on his head.

I've been to a lot of games in Bryant Denny. This might have been one of the rowdiest/loudest games in the stadium.

Also, the lights are really cool. I know I've said that but it really whips the crowd into a frenzy.

I don't understand the committee...just run the BCS computers and pick the top 4.

Bama ain't getting in...it's obvious the committee doesn't like us.

Alabama's chances are still good in making the playoff, and the worst possible way to be left out is if Georgia wins out and beats LSU. Lesson is Alabama needs to start scheduling stronger teams during their non-SEC weeks. Playing Duke to begin the season might leave Alabama out in the end.
