Yep, home sweet home! LOL Seriously, though, I think it's because I live in the heart of "Dixie Alley" that I have had such a fascination with tornadoes since about 8 years old.
 
Wonder what allows for the enhancement of tornadic storms compared to other locations. I mean out of 159 tornadoes the only EF-5 (F-5) rated storms are between a diagonal line, from just North of Florence AL, down to Jefferson Co. AL. really a perfect North Easterly track out of Southern Mississippi. Very interesting!

It's a frequent path for mesoscale low pressure areas", that track from near Vicksburg and Jackson, MS to north-central and northeast Alabama. These "mesolows" frequently spawn intense tornadoes/ tornado families.

Good info Perry! It really does put things into perspective. Do you mind if I save a copy for when I do severe weather safety talks? I got one coming up soon for senior citizens. This tells the story so much better than other graphics.
