I was very surprised to see Enos leave. Seems like Alabama to Miami would be a demotion unless Saban decided to show him the door. I'm beginning to hear rumblings that Saban is very displeased with our offensive scheme this year and that Tua's playmaking ability masked a lot of inefficiencies until Clemson.
When you get to the red zone 4 times and have a grand total of 3 points for it. Yeah, there's offensive scheming issues.

Sounds like Chip Long is emerging as our top target in the OC search. I'm not sure how he is as a recruiter but he has a strong track record as an X's and O's coach and also went to high school at Mountain Brook and college at UNA.

Sarkisian headed back to the Capstone.

Really not sure how to feel about this.. if he turned down an NFL OC position it can only be assumed its for the OC position here.. he wouldn't do this for an analyst or positional role. Granted maybe a whole offseason instead of two weeks to prepare like what happened last time may help, but I'm unsure..

Probably a Co-OC kind of deal. Chip Long from ND was interviewing in Tuscaloosa today.

That's who I want. Sark may be a one year mercenary but we need to revise Long's contract to where he's in it for at least a few years. Potential coach-in-waiting candidate too assuming Saban is beginning to think about one day hanging up the straw hat, which I think may not be as far fetched as it was just a week ago.

I remember Chip Long playing at UNA. Would have played under Coach Hud.

I truly believe Saban stays through the end of his contract, which ends in 2025. But, still, money should be no factor. Get Saban the best coordinators and get him #7 and potentially more.

Also, Chip Long is likely off the table. Doesn't like the Co-OC tag (much like last year) and I'm pretty sure that's what Saban is giving Sark.

I guess we're in the market for a new RB coach now. Not sure why he's moving to an off-field role. Weird.

And now Lupoi is gone.

Holy christ almighty what a mess this is becoming.
He was in over his head. Great recruiter, but not great with the X's and O's. The bigger deal will be the replacement. We need proven experience.

I remember the freakout during the Kiffin --> Sark --> Daboll sequence. We turned out just fine...

After the national championship game Lupoi should have been fired on the tarmac

I noticed there was practically no change from the Daboll offense to the Locksley offense. Since it sounds like Sark is coming in full time I'm quite curious to see what he does..

Daboll could at least dial up some good goal line plays. Locksley would crap his pants on all 4 downs in the red zone.

Clemson didn’t play the run well at all. Should of put the game in the hands of the offensive line and the running backs instead of trying to get tricky. Game would’ve been close then.

Locksley had this bizarre tendency to stick with the outside zone even when it wasn’t working well. Like the first three quarters of the SECCG I was wondering why every run play was outside zone when Georgia was overplaying it. He finally started calling some inside runs after Hurts game in and lo and behold the run started working.

Still better than a certain new Troy head coach who insisted on calling 30 screens a game.
