Severe WX Severe Weather 4/11 - 4/15

Ok one last damage analysis geekery post and I’ll focus on the event at hand. Anyway, I now see why they didn’t go for a higher rating/wind speed after taking a closer look at the main house in question. Can’t post pics still, but see how all the wall collapses are centered around the attached garage, but there is minimal wall damage to much of the “lived in” portion of the house? Attached garages can often be the weakest point in a house, and when they fail catastrophically, they can take down many of the surrounding walls while leaving the farther away portions of the house intact. That’s exactly what I’m seeing here. So when you see the most severe structural damage surrounding the garage portion of a home, that can be a clue. Had this home had a detached garage instead, I’d bet the damage would have been less severe.

Im no pro but when I looked at a larger pic of that house I was 90% sure ef2. Looked wood frame.

80/60 probs on the new watch
100% will be upgraded to MDT at 20z; I’m calling it. The 60% in itself shows that the uncertainty has waned and that they are dead set on there being an outbreak, even if localized.

I'm just south of the cell and the clouds to the north are definitely moving more aggressively off to the north. They are getting darker too, and some of them have those "claws" that kind of look like the Chalcidice Peninsula in Greece, but it is also quite sunny over where I am at.
