Radar does not look good.... its early, but it looks like forcing is either very late or the forcing is further north/west than expected.

Today looked pretty decent but that dry slot/warm nose is hampering things and I genuinely believe this event is within 30 minutes to a hour and a half of being called done. Not a single successful CI attempt so far and the thermos are very hostile atm. Safe to say we mightve dodged something today if something doesn't go

Important to note how if storms don't fire all night, this may mean better thermos for tomorrow.
This dry slot was unforecasted, so therefore can't really say that the forecasting process for today was anything wrong, just a major unexpected sharp warm nose is all it took.

That much is true. Without the convection bubbling up and going through OK/Southern KS the environment will have more time to build up into a pristine environment.

HRRR was terrible in the longer range but has been spot on for the last several hours. Something to keep in mind for tomorrow.

Simref is just a solution and I seen a bit too many getting over themselves due to this same picture. I did acknowledge sigtor potential but the thermos still looked oddish so today was not slam dunk. Right mlw, there is a cell growing but I have major doubts anything is gonna mature and become tornadic in this environment.

Turkey storm is the best of the day so far but it’s going to have to turn towards the east to do anything major.
EDIT: most recent scan looks like it could be attempting to split. That would be interesting.
