Things making me think today may be able to manage a sneaky tor threat in Georgia. Issues like surface inversion and warm air aloft do exist but hodographs seem to support some potential.

Yeah I was just reading SPC. They didn’t go slight risk in new outlook but we may see a nader.

Summary record of severe weather that occurred in South America a few days ago on 2/18-2/19:

Granizo = Hail
Viento = Wind
1 cm ≈ 0.4 inch)
And also, the following day, a possible LT (low-top) supercell tornado/funnel cloud was detected near Young, Uruguay.

Ensembles showing a more persistent western troughing/eastern ridging signal toward the middle of March. Will be interesting to see if the look remains and then can we get a s/w to take advantage. Wait and see mode.

Tornado LSRs to date. Slightly above what was reported at this time last year, but it's worth noting that one tornado can have numerous attached LSRs due to factors like track length (I'm pretty sure Vilonia 2014 had like 8-or-so attached ones).

I’ve noticed the past few years the middle of April just goes completely quiet. It’s the gamblers fallacy, but it feels like since at least 2023 we have a pretty active mid-late March/very early April, and then no activity at all until the end of the April.
I realize this is just a random thought and isn’t some sort of connected pattern at all lol but talk about the April 15, 2011 outbreak in the other thread made me think about mid April outbreaks.
