Severe Weather 2025

Would you trust the thumbnails and titles here? I don't have to watch these videos to know they're clear clickbait and absurd hyperbole. Isn't "The prophecy has awoken" a bit telling here? Regardless of the content of the video, nothing in these videos shows a revolutionary prophecy, ground-breaking storm + things "The Earth has never done before!" . When i see the whole earth in seething flames like the first one suggests, I'll believe it. These are all sketchy channels man, do not get dragged into their nonsense.
Ok well if you haven’t even watched the videos…. lol

I have learned not to judge a book by its cover.
I used to say trust but verify. Now I say don’t trust but DO verify. I ACTUALLY watched the videos and looked into the things they spoke about.

Is it nonsense if what they mention in the videos (that you admit you haven’t watched) can be verified as being true? I’m just saying…

All I am saying is don’t be so quick to throw stones… don’t trust, but DO verify :) Hope you had a good weekend.

I appreciate your generosity and hope you had a great weekend and wish you a great week but I'm just not on board with these kind of videos and we're probably not gonna get anywhere here + steering this away from the main topic at hand which is of course severe weather so if you wanna discuss this further etc it'll probably be in dms. No harsh feelings :)

Earlier this year I said that the earth is going to start doing things we have never seen before. What happened all over the world on 11/25/25 AT THE SAME TIME is one example of what I was referring to. I don’t think the news covered it much.. but here
These videos have zero citations, one of them has an AI generated description, and while I’m not a geologist or volcanologist, the things they’re describing aren’t being backed up by any google searches I’m doing to check their claims, at least at a broad level. I can absolutely guarantee you that the Earth has seen more violence and more extreme events in the past than whatever might happen in the next 100 years based on both geological evidence and basic statistics - we’re not living in some special time. These videos strike me as more of a fearmongering tool rather than actual solid information.

@KevinH these videos have nothing at all to do with severe weather. What is the title of this thread? Not trying to be mean - but I will be if needed - but if you want to discuss fake AI videos, please do it on another thread. We should have a thread for non-weather conversations. Do not post this topic on this thread again.

Back on topic, the 06Z GFS and to an extent the Euro-AIFS have another fantasyland Western trough around mid-month. However it seems we've seen this multiple times over about the last month and they have all either trended to cut-off lows that pinch off and sit over the Southwest, or in the case of the most recent system that brought our Midwest winter storm over the weekend, amplified over the central CONUS rather than the western, leaving insufficient space and time for a substantial warm sector to develop inland.

However, at the very least it could lead to a few days of low-end severe potential in immediate Gulf Coastal areas, as we saw with this past system.

Not expecting much today into tomorrow, but it would be very Gulf-coded for there to be a few onshoring waterspouts overnight. Might be worth watching AL/FL Panhandle this evening for a couple of mini supercells.

The SPC does believe a onshoring tornado risk exists despite limited instability. The kinematics are pretty impressive with this system and for sure, brief spinups aren't out of the question tomorrow morning.

Hi @MichelleH, to answer your question:
The severe flooding that occurred throughout the world last week on the same day is why I posted this. I looked at the cities mentioned in the videos, and they actually did experience major flooding all at once. There were other non-severe weather related events as well that day, but I thought flooding like THAT was still considered “severe”, hence I posted it here :) If it is not, then I apologize :)

We've got a new Trey and Chris Broyles video! This one examines the Enderlin, ND tornado. Extremely interesting, and they actually get into analyzing the radar scans leading up to the tornado and what indicators there were that the supercell had the potential to drop something violent.

Despite the drought, my precipitation total is near normal for the year. 55.96 inches currently with normal being around 60 inches.

Man, what a year this has been.

Considering there doesn't seem to be much of a severe threat today and plausibly for a good while, I thought I'd ask what event this year was the most memorable for you guys? Whether it be a hurricane or a tornado outbreak. Just figured I'd ask as the lull has made things quiet around here.

Mid-March tornado outbreak for me, with Hurricane Melissa coming in 2nd.

March 14-15 outbreak easily, with the May 16 outbreak in second and Melissa in third.

For me personally, of course, the May 18 outbreak and the Arnett tornadoes.

The March outbreak was pretty crazy to track, especially with what the 14th did at night in AR/MO.

Hurricane Melissa was incredible, even more so that it makes for the second sub-900mb Atlantic hurricane in as many years after nearly 20 years without one.

Melissa and Enderlin will forever be reference points for many future events yet to come. So, those two.
