2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season

If it forms. Remember, this is 2025.

For the record, you're talking about the Cape Verde recurver that then loops back to the west, right?
It formed lol

Anyways it's now Lorenzo. Not expected to do much.

Another wave is set to come off of Africa and COULD, if it forms, become the next major and the year's first solid retirement candidate if it hits the Leewards or Central America.

Try and figure out where that is going.

Regardless, we have a favorable background state in the Atlantic for the moment, and nothing in the EPAC to compete with it, just a matter of where it goes

Reminder that the next name on the list is Melissa...are we about to knock out another M name?
I mean one of the spots on my 2025 AHS bingo card is

“Melissa brings back the “M” curse” of List 5

Speaking of let's see how that's doing
I know it's not 2025 yet, but... 2025 bingo card anyone?

Confirmed:
  • List 5 Being List 5 (Depends on the meaning but if it means an incredibly unique and odd season then it verified)
  • 3+ Major Hurricanes (Erin, Gabrielle, Humberto)
  • NHC Underestimated a Storm's Intensity (Humberto was most certainly stronger than 140kt/924mb)
  • Andrea Again (Andrea is still Andrea)
  • Early August Major (I think Erin counts)
  • Humberto Becomes a Hurricane Again (Boy, did it!)
  • 130kt+ Storm Streak Continues (Erin and Humberto say hi)
  • Karen (Don't know what this means but OK)
Jossed:
  • Pre-Season TC
  • June MDR Storm
  • 135kt C4 Controversy (Humberto came close though!)
  • 10 Hurricanes (season's not done yet but come on now)
  • I-Curse Resumes (Imelda decided to rob Humberto of literally everything and scare the pants off of Bermuda instead)
  • Dexter Becomes a Category 5 (LMAO)
  • Imelda Gets Retired (No)
  • June Hurricane (Nope)
  • August 29 Major Hurricane Landfall Paradox Returns (Not even a storm active on that date)
  • 20+ Named Storms (NO)
  • Pre-Season Hurricane (Not even a pre season storm this year)
Jury Still Out:
  • Florida Gets Slammed Again
  • Funny NHC Pun/Reference
  • November Category 5
  • Louisiana Gets Hit With A Major
  • Sub-900 MB Storm
  • Melissa Brings The M Curse Back
EDIT: I'm pretty sure it's literally impossible to get a bingo on this card now LMAO

It probably is, but at least I tried

For the record, have your opinions on numerology changed since earlier this year? Mine certainly have!
Mine has too! I didn’t entirely agree with it to begin with.

Interesting linkage I found after I asked myself the question: "Do hurricane seasons with at least one or multiple category 5 hurricanes in the Atlantic lead to more snow across North MS during the following winters?"

1924 thru 2024: 41 category 5 hurricanes. Out of those 41, only one winter did NOT have snow across North MS and that was during the winter of 1953/54.
