This impeachment talk (whether it is warranted or not) is akin to pie in the sky. Much like when the left was deluding themselves into thinking the electoral voters were going to vote for Hillary over Donald in the states he won. It's truly silly. He will be, unless he dies of old age that is.
It’s not that silly. It’s not likely, but it’s not out of the question. If The NY Times article that came out today is even half true, then trump obstructed Justice very badly. This impeachment talk (whether it is warranted or not) is akin to pie in the sky. What’s your opinion of massive? To me, this administration is selling the country to the highest bidder.
I think most conservatives are more like me. They generally believe the MSM, but understand they are error prone. I don’t think Trump fits my brand of conservatism at all.
Ive never seen a more lying, corrupt administration. Why doesn’t the nation care?

How does anybody explain the ZTE bailout? Helping a foreign, sanctioned company? Ridiculous.
I understand Americans are proud of their vote, but let’s not forget more voted for a known criminal in Hillary rather than just a potential crook in Trump. If Mueller does a good enough job explaining the evidence, people won’t flip out too much, except for the far right base. This case may be too complex for the average American though. As is some sort of voter fraud such as hard proof the election was hacked and votes were changed. Even then knowing our nation it still probably wouldn't change anything. I can forsee massive mayhem if he is impeached even if for a real reason. As I said about the NYT, the Democrats would impeach Trump for wearing two different socks if they could. Americans are proud of their vote, right or wrong, and if the trample that vote with impeachment, anger will erupt.
BTW, Trump doesn't fit my brand of conservatism either. Going beyond Trump, the GOP is full of spineless, hypocritical idiots. That said, the truth is the truth about Trump and his position.

I think both parties need some fresh faces. Nobody likes Pelosi and the other old top dogs in the D party. The old R guys that are retiring may be helping the party immensely. Fresh faces who understand govt are what the nation needs.
See the tweet about immigrant children locked in cages, supposedly by Trump’s immigration policies, shared by NYT journalists, CNN and NBC anchors, and many more on the left-leaning media. Come to find out, it was a picture of a holding cell under Obama in 2014. That isn't a "mistake" or honest to God "error". That was flat out propaganda. We've had NUMEROUS examples of situations like that in the past month. They generallybelievedistrust the MSM, but understand they areerror proneagenda driven.
I hate that people see the Mueller work as drawn out. People seem to forget how long investigations take. I guess it is a sign of the times.
I see where you are coming from. What do you think are the chances he is impeached? I’d say 15-20%.
Funny how the Trump admin doesn't have time to comment on Roseanne's comments regarding Valerie Jarrett. Yet, he somehow found time to call her personally regarding the ratings and thanked her for her support. Listen, Valerie Jarrett has A LOT of less than desirable political stances, but how about taking issue with those? Why am I not shocked someone as repugnant as Roseanne Barr (who has a long history of anti-Catholic and Anti-Semitic vitrol) make racist comments? And why am I not shocked someone who uses disgusting personal attacks has Trump's unwavering support?
Did you know that whale poop floats?See the tweet about immigrant children locked in cages, supposedly by Trump’s immigration policies, shared by NYT journalists, CNN and NBC anchors, and many more on the left-leaning media. My trust of media is lower than whale crap. I have a general mistrust of institutions who portray themselves as non-biased but in fact are agenda driven.
Trump's pardon of Dinesh D'Souza is the final exclamation point on the overwhelming amount of evidence that Trump and his admin care nothing for the rule of law. Arpaio was bad enough, but Trump just pardoned someone who freely admitted their guilt in court. It sends a clear signal to Manfort, Cohen, and others that they will be pardoned for any crimes they may have committed as long as they continue to support Trump.
While Trump's power to pardon is largely unreviewable by the courts, Congress should make it clear that any attempt by Trump to commute or pardon associates connected to the Mueller probe (or any other federal jurisdiction investigating individuals with ties to Trump/his campaign) will be met with immediate impeachment. This is exactly what James Madison and George Mason worried about as they debated the limits of Presidential power. Their conclusion was that impeachment was the tool to use to remove a President from office that pardoned his own associates from criminal wrongdoing.
The pardons of D'Souza and Arpaio are arguably an abuse of Presidential power and a defiance of the rule of law (also impeachable offenses according to the Founders that debated the issue). However, I would say that those actions alone do not fully rise to meet the standards necessary for impeachment. Taken together with other actions by Trump, the standard has probably been met, but would be politically untenable at this time absent additional evidence. But, as mentioned, the moment Trump pardons, or attempts to pardon, any close associate of his the burden of proof has been met and he should be impeached.
The Founders were rightly worried about the Presidency descending into a new age Monarchy, and their warnings should not be ignored. If you care about the rule of law you should care about Trump's pardons of Arpaio and D'Souza. All the SCOTUS justices in the world are not worth the corruption of the office of the Presidency, nor are they worth the clear defiance of the law. For those that question this, remember that Trump will not be President forever. Democrats will eventually take back the Presidency, and will seek to use the same power to enact their own priorities and policies. And that's just a best case scenario. Imagine an America 15-20 years from now in which an avowed Socialist or worse gains the Presidency. Trump is setting an awful precedence, and if you care about our country you should be outraged.
