Severe Threat May 15-16, 2025

I think instability compensation and other thermo benefits may permit a significant tornado threat.

It’s a ticking time bomb, and I’m worried about the remnants from this system carrying over into us.
if you had to say what time it could happen and what threats it could pose, what would it be for us?

It's pretty much a broken record the number of times I have heard "significant tornado threat" this season so far.

There were 283 wind reports last night

This article has an absolute boatload of storm damage pics from Michigan. Huge swaths of downed trees on cars and houses, torn off metal roofs, damaged homes, etc. This is just to say, regardless of the tornado threat today, these QLCS and MCS systems will still be significant. 280,000 people were without power in Michigan last night by the time I went to bed. Anyone who has experienced 70-90 mph sustained winds (outside of hurricane regions) knows how serious it is. These are the types of storm impacts you remember for the rest of your life. I think most weather youtubers and a lot of enthusiasts don't realize that.
