I’m going to venture they stay moderate - would expect the unicorn level “Outlook Upgrade” MCD if they planned to upgrade mid day. I do think they will consider expanding the Moderate/Enhanced further SW to account for current trends.

It looks like they're mostly thin clouds, I'm not sure how much of an effect it'll have with inhibiting instability. That cloud cover isn’t fading as fast as it was earlier
Have your weather radio on if you have one, make sure WEA alerts are enabled on your phone, know where you'll shelter, and keep in touch with friends & family (the communication goes both ways in terms of keeping each other safe). And don't forget about those pets! Stay safe out there.I... am trying really hard not to anxiety-post on this thread, and I know this is just a model, but I really, really do not want.
New outlook probs..
As long as your prepared for the absolute worst, then you'll be able to beat anything that comes your way today. Just stay safe and you'll be okay.I... am trying really hard not to anxiety-post on this thread, and I know this is just a model, but I really, really do not want.
Would love to be a fly on the wall for the upgrade/downgrade discussions here. Not too often they go up and back down in back to back outlooks.Down to Missouri now and hatched in ok is gone..
It’s been out for a whileThe outlook was due at 16:30UTC, and it is now 16:39UTC. Are they deliberating still?

I completely understand. It may be inconvenient, but ultimately the safest call may be for them to be in the same place, and if they were to do that, the sooner the better. If that doesn't work, then both should consider their second best options - centermost rooms on the lowest floor they can access, away from windows, and bring blankets or other items to shield themselves from debris. The person I was hoping to drive to see today and who lives right on the western edge of the moderate is my late-80s dad who lives alone. He should be fine, as long as he gets warned in time. But he also has a casual girlfriend who is disabled as well as elderly who lives alone and only has one other nearby family member (who is also elderly and currently busy taking care of her hospitalized spouse). The girlfriend needs to use a chair lift, so cannot get into the basement on her own. Her only bathroom is on the second floor of the house, and her caretaker is supposed to leave for the day around the time storms are supposed to initiate. So she has no good options for shelter that she can get to alone. I could tell my dad to go stay with her (he would be able to hear sirens then, as she lives in town and he does not), but he would be uncomfortable staying overnight and I don't really want him having to help her down to a basement when his own balance is not so great anymore.
Anyway. I apologize in advance if I seem to be on edge with this event. Please feel free to nudge me gently to chill out if needed. I'm just worrying about folks that I can't actively help at the moment. I know I'll be fine, though I do gotta get some water and blankets down in the basement if needed, but I'm not in a rush.
I have been waiting anxiously, though I am nowhere near the area in question. Not on their web site yet
