Exactly, kudos to SPC. These setups are pure madness sometimes. Some of those more impactful HiRes runs showed what the environment was capable of if it came together.

At this point it seems inevitable that heavy rain will be the biggest story from this event.

Early on I thought the SPC was being too conservative today, but once those initial storms struggled so much it was obvious that they were on top of things. Honestly, there’s a decent chance they were too aggressive

High LFCs, strong inversion layer, overcasted skies by cirrus canopy, and mid level dry air killed this potential tornado outbreak.

10% hatched was the right call, could’ve gone either way. Classic boom or b$st plains event.
